Sameera, Kalani, Isuru and I developed a Web services security module for the well known Apache Axi2 middleware. The existing security module, Rampart, has issues concerning performance. Therefore, our solution mainly focused on high performance. We used the code name Rampart2 to refer our project, though it is not part of Apache yet.
